This short trailer video discusses the central principles of teaching Syrian speakers of Arabic the sound system of German. The approach is simple: by means of a comparison of the two sound systems (DEUtsch and ARABic), we can easily identify inventorial, distributional and realizational problems and develop the respective remedial strategies.

This short video provides several examples for Arabic learners of German using the so-called "voiced plosive" consonants / b, d, g /. They all exist in Arabic, however, in German they are devoiced in final position. Hence, this video is basically an exemplifcation of the differences between initial and final "b", "d", and "g" in German.
